Former SUBEB Boss Allege Nasarawa State Under Spells Of ‘Yakanaje’ Intrigues

Former Executive Chairman Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education, Malam Abdulkarim Muhammad Abdullahi has expressed disappointment over what he referred to as the evil forces in the state for blowing a minor political problem out of proportion.
Malam Abdulkarim who was also a one-time Rector Nigeria Television College, Jos recalled that he had earlier warned of his fears of the possible manifestation of the evil forces that had infiltrated the Almakura administration.
While maintaining that he has now been vindicated, Malam Abdulkarim stated that the state governor Umaru Tanko Almakura has become a stooge in the hands of the cabal that has hijacked the government.
He reiterated that most of the people that are now claiming to be the alpha and omega of the APC-led administration in the state were nowhere when they started the CPC movement that metamorphosed into the APC.
According to the one-time SUBEB boss in the state, the architect and arrowhead of what he referred to as the diabolical scheme is none other than the current Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Muhammad Hassan Abdullahi, who has been parading himself as power behind Al-makura led administration in the state
He explained that in Lafia it was the former chairman Lafia LGC and now National Vice Chairman North-Central zone of the APC that first intimated the August gathering about their grand design of undemocratically imposing some candidate on the people of the state and it was overwhelmingly rejected.
Abdulkarim Muhammad however pointed out that as far as he was concerned any credible person from any part of the state can emerge as the state governor, but expressed fears that imposing unpopular candidate was part of a grand design to cripple the APC in the state, hence dent the prospect of victory especially at presidential election.
While paraphrasing the present dilemma in the state by quickly quoting the late Patrice Lumumba, who stated that the Tragedy with Africa is that those with ideas are not in power while those in power have no ideas”, he lamented that there is a growing influence of ‘Yakanaje’ cult in the state gradually threatening to push the whole state into a turmoil and called on all well meaning individuals in the state to raise up and resist the ‘ Yakanaje’ influence in the state.
