Chairman, Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, Nasarawa State, Alhaji Aminu Muazu Maifata has underscored efforts of Media professionals’ group in the state for their efforts towards the success of the party at the 2019 general elections.
Hon. Aminu Muazu Maifata, who is also the chairman, Lafia Local Government Council, made this known when the group paid him an advocacy visit in his office in Lafia on Monday.
The chairman explained that it was a privilege to have such a group in the state determined to support APC candidates without any prior support from whatever source for their activities.
He lamented that the state APC stakeholders should have actually organised such a group in the first place because of its relevance, pointing out that the determination of the group to have commenced its activities in support of the ruling party in the state was commendable.
Hon. Aminu however pledged that ALGON would henceforth support the group in its activities by carrying them along through all APC activities.
Earlier the state Coordinator of the group, Alhaji Ibrahim Habu Suleiman stated that the purpose of their visit was to intimate ALGON on the activities of the group, which was formed to galvanise support for the success of all APC candidates in the 2019 general polls.
The Coordinator then solicited the support of Local Governments through the state ALGON chairman, maintaining that they would continue to deploy their talents to ensure the reelection of President Buhari, the state APC governorship flag bearer and all other APC contestants.
The group, known as Media Professionals for Buhari, A. Sule, Ta’al and all APC contestants, Medpro4Buastaal, is an affiliate of Buhari Support Group Centre, Abuja and embraces all media professionals around the state.
