Nasarawa State Commissioner for Information, Tourism and Culture, Alhaji Jamil Zakari has reassured that Nasarawa state government would work with all support groups working for the success of the APC in 2019 general elections.
The commissioner made this known while hosting a media group known as Media Professionals for Buhari, Engr A.A.Sule, Ta’al and APC in the state, an affiliate of Buhari Support Group Centre, Abuja, in his office in Lafia on Wednesday.
While reiterating the state government complete readiness to support the group in their activities geared towards ensuring the success of all APC candidates in the state, the commissioner underscored the need to project the unprecedented achievements of the present administration in the state.
He maintained that now that Governor Umaru Tanko Almakura has answered the clarion calls from his people to contest for the Senate come 2019, it was necessary to work assiduously towards ensuring his success and that of all the other APC candidates in the state.
The commissioner noted that the emergence of Engr A.A. Sule from an array of highly competent aspirants was proof of his sterling qualities among the best candidates that APC has presented for the 2019 polls in the state.
He then urged all those working for the success of the APC candidates in the state to adhere strictly to issues based campaigns for sustainable peaceful coexistence and harmonious relationship.
Earlier the state Coordinator, Media Professionals for Buhari, Engr A.A.Sule, Ta’al and APC, Alhaji Ibrahim Habu Suleiman stated that they were at the commissioner’s office to solicit for support in their activities towards ensuring the re-election of President Buhari and the success of all APC candidates at the 2019 polls.
To this end, the Coordinator used the forum to inform the commissioner that the group is preparing to unveil it office in Lafia, which was donated by convener of the group, Alhaji Rayyanu Bala.
Present at the Commissioner’s office for the advocacy visit along with the Coordinator, Ibrahim Habu Suleiman were the state secretary of the group, Victoria Ikeano, Malam Rabiu Abdullahi, the deputy coordinator and Sumaila Umaisha, assistant secretary.
