Al-makura Harps On Unity As APC Campaign Kick Off Thursday

As State APC campaign kick off Thursday, Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura has appealed for unity amongst APC members to ensure success of the party in the forthcoming general elections. Speaking at the meeting of APC campaign council held at Government House Lafia Tuesday, Governor Al-makura who is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nasarawa APC Campaign Council expressed the confidence that the Campaign Council would deliver Nasarawa to APC in this coming elections. While stressing that the Nasarawa state APC Campaign Council which is the highest decision making body of the campaign would work vigorously to ensure the success of APC in the state, Governor Al- makura also stressed the importance of brainstorming and constant interface among members of the council so as to be guided by wealth of experience of each other for purposes of achieving a seamless campaign . Governor Al-makura who expressed happiness with tremendous wealth of experience and commitment of members of the campaign council, further assured that the campaign would run smoothly and successfully. He reminded members of the council that the campaign council would also double as that of Engr. A. A Sule for governor and for Muhammdu Buhari’s re- election. He explained that fussing the two campaigns into one became necessary due to lack of time, adding that the campaign has to be run simultaneously except directed otherwise by the Presidential campaign council.

He disclosed that the flagging off of the campaign on Thursday would have the National Chairman of the APC in attendance and other top APC chieftains. The Chairman of the APC Campaign Council Hon. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada on his part also expressed confidence in the Campaign Council and the members capacity to deliver Nasarawa state to APC.

On the party’s reconciliation efforts, Hon Wadada who described reconciliations as on going exercise however commended the efforts thus far, saying that APC is one family no two way about it.
