By Abdulkarim Muhammad Abdullahi Yes where was Atiku Abubakar, when the Igbo’s needed him most, during Alex Ekweime’s Presidential contest? Asking this question became pertinent in view of the latest obsession of, especially Igbo’s youth towards Atiku’s project.

First and foremost,let me reiterate here,that, where I come from, in my tiny hamlet sized village of Angwan Doka,we were taught since our nursery school days, in our Quar’anic Madras Schools,that truth is sacrosanct and that facts are its truthfully permanent companion.

Now, looking back at the records of the Nigerian political scenes freely available in the public domain,vis-a vis PDP Presidential candidate’s noisy razzmatazz political romance with the Biafran agitators, I have the benefits of both facts and history,to intervene by asking some basic questions, that require credible, yes or no answers ,not those usually distorted and coagulated answers, related to the above question, which in truth, should provide Nigerians with sufficient facts,in this our season of political narratives, during which our politicians crave our ignorances, to bamboozle us with distorted half truths, for an answer.

Now, back to the current Atikulated/ Biafran Agitators political love affair, which I regard as an opportunistic project that looks more like a marriage of convenience between two dramatically proned and disillusioned parties, conscious of their desperate and pathological perceptions of despair of reality.
Now,for me,the real probe of Atikulated corruption related to this saga is to ask for the following historical records:
(1) When Shagari’s former Vice President, Sir Alex Ekweme ,a fine and patriotic Nigerian of Ibo extraction was fronted by the North to succeed his former boss, as Nigeria’s no 1 Citizen,a special taskforce of eminent Northern political players was set up,to spearhead the project.
This team comprised of eminent and worldwide first-class and focussed politicians with global clout ,led by Alhaji Isyaku Ibrahim, as the Director General ,Sir Alex Ekweme Presidential Campaign, supported by the likes of Distinguished SenatorAlhaji Abdullahi Adamu, currently the Turakin Keffi ; His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ahmadu Almakura, now the Sangari/ Sarkin Kwandare, with more than 50 very hardworking and prominent Nigerian politicians and business men of power,means and influence, like the late Alhaji Umaru Dikko ,the late Walin Keffi,Alhaji Abdu Abubakar, the Patriotic Patriarch of the Imani world class Estates Development and other Group of Companies, as well as several other president Shagari’s trusted proteges, to demonstrate the sincerity and commitments of the NPN political family, to the cause of the passionate quest for a qualified and competent Ibo indigenous Nigerian, (NOT ABIAFRAN OBSESSED CHARACTERS,) like currently orchestrated by PDP’s candidate, as a farcical gimmick, to score a cheap and invalid own goal.

Those who were privy to my WhatsApp presentations in the past,would recall my reactions which reprimandingly castigated our Ibo compatriots, who always disparage the North ,instead of being their Ibo kith and kin,when it comes to the issue of the troubled Igbo Presidency, which,since the advent of party politics in Nigeria, many Northern Politicians,such as,the lates Alhaji Sa’adu Zungur and Alhaji Aminu Kano and other pioneer Northern political players favoured the Ibo quest since those ancient days of the NPC, NCNC, NEPU days,yet the Ibo’s,who should forever feel indebted to the North,only find it more expedient to insult and denigrate us,despite proving our sincerity for their political cause , beyond any reasonable doubt,which failure is directly related to their Ibo’s negligence as well as ( general dispositions to micheavalian chauvinism and infantile and opportunistic commercialism!)
Therefore, Atiku and the PDP kingpins are just merely exploiting this parlous commercial underbellies of the Ibo,for their selfish and person prurient interests; nothing more,nothing less!
Because, as our elders philosophically advocated, the taste of the pudding is in the eating and as imperically testified, there is no records to showcase previous efforts to vindicate either the PDP,nor Atiku in this Ibo political legacies!
I remarkable loyal to my religious heritage,which teaches us to be steadfast,as contained in the Prophetic Hadith, in upholding the truth, even if you are to be its major and first victim!
I rest my case,hoping all Nigeriana have been enriched and some of the fallacious fallacies about the North,sufficiently contradicted for all Nigerians to learn about finding the truth and its permanent companions,aka,facts!
