Al- makura Again Charges New Exco Members to Always Have Interest Of The State At Heart

Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura has again charged new commissioners to always have the interest of Nasarawa at heart in all the decisions they would take in the discharge of their responsibilities. Again Governor Al-makura also disclosed that two additional ministries would be put up by the Government to oversee the development of some key sectors that need attention

Governor Al-makura disclosed this during an Expanded State Executive Council Meeting at Government House were he met with the members of the Nasarawa State Executive Council and Permanent Secretaries in the service of Nasarawa State. Gov. Al-makura disclosed that the Ministry of Higher Education would be brought back so as to properly attended to issues within the purview of tertiary education in the state.

The Governor also announced re- establishment of Housing and Urban Development as full fledge Ministry from Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport

While urging urging the new Commissioners to adjust to values that are inherent in the APC led administration in Nasarawa State and the President Muhammadu Buhari Change mantra anchored on rule of law and constitutionalism, prudent management of resources and the fear of God, Al-makura further reminded them that all decision they take must be in the interest of the entire people of Nasarawa State.

He tasked the Commissioners to imbibe the culture of understanding and sympathetic to general cause of the people and reminded them to work for the people regardless of tribe, religion or party affiliations, adding that they would be call at one time to give accountable for their actions.

Briefing the press shortly after the expanded Council Meeting, the State Commissioner of Information, Mohammed Jamil Zakari explained that the meeting dwelt on issues geared towards entrenching good governance especially as the administration tenure is coming to an end.
