The Chairman All Progressives Congress (APC) Nasarawa state Mr. Philip Tatari Shekwo has tasked members of Al-makura Senatorial Campaign Council to deliver Nasarawa South Senatorial seat to Governor Umaru Tanko Al-makura. Speaking while inaugurating council in Lafia, Mr Shekwo explained that the inauguration of the Campaign Council was part of APC’s utmost respect for Governor Almakura and the concern of the party towards ensuring his success at the forthcoming general election.

Mr. Shekwo who urged members of the Council to demonstrates same support to all other candidates under APC platform also called on them to close ranks and forget about the differences arising from party primaries so as to move the party forward.

Earlier, the Secretary to the State Government Barr. Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi revealed that the Al-makura campaign council consists of all Commissioners, Special Advisers, Local Government Council Chairmen and all other political appointees from the Nasarawa South and charged the council to swing into action immediately by mobilizing and coordinating all forces towards the victory of Al-makura and all other APC candidates in not only Southern Zone but the entire state.

On his part, the Director General of the Campaign Council Mr. David Ayewa lauded the choice of members and gave an assurance that they would work assiduously to ensure the victory of Al-makura as Senator as well as the victory of all APC Candidates in the state. While appealing to people of the state to put aside ethnic and religion sentiments, Ayuwa also called on APC members to work together so as to move the state to the next level.

The inauguration of the Campaign Council was witnessed by the Secretary of the APC, Hon Aliyu Bello and other APC chieftains in the Nasarawa South.
