‘Karu Summit’: Matters Arising

By Abdulkarim Muhammad Abdullahi

The die is now cast ,with regards to the CAN Mafia induced influence on the fate of Nasarawa State 2019 Gubernatorial Elections.

The only question being asked by the poor and beleaguered citizens of this unfortunately hapless and poverty traumatized rural state,

is, “who will bail poor Nasarawa State out , now that it has already been caged and invaded by the notorious money bags and Mafia Lords,

of corrupt practices and oil bunkering stupendous financial might and infamy,

Who have prioritised the state,
in their gridlock radar of ethno religious bigotry, and hypocritic inclinations?

Yes, the ominous presence of evil prognoses are no longer conjectural,

they are now fully solid and on the ground, generating primordial infernos of rage ,

Now recklessly being hawked and advertised publicly,

and branded freely ,
to all interested clients,

With such audacious impunity, in both
provocative and brazen manner,

as well well as in all presentational forms,of the most instinctively
inciteful manner of announcements,

As if there are no more rules and regulations guiding political campaigns in Nigeria.

Everything is freely hyped and put on sale in the political market,

By the political elites, who display their dangerous products ,
in the same manners,
like they do display their toxic brands of junk saturated,

and fatty contaminants,
in our fast foods and carbonated soft drinks ,
to thrill their ignorant and illiterate consumers.

The last time I wrote on the political praxis of Nasarawa State,

I bemoaned the dangerous dimensions of how some few but ambitiously self-centered elites,

Were insidiously trying to capture voters ,
by negatively masterminding events,

TO suicidally suit their motives and selfishly accumulated grievances,

By negative sensationalism and maliciously flamboyant flavors ,

to secure unmerited favours and emotional sympathy,

through manipulative inducements and fraudulent psychological cunning,

In order to drag the state ,
into the violent inspired spiral of primitive orgy,

symbolised by the newly expanded but repugnant theater of ethno religiously inclined politics ,

Domesticated as the favourite sport of choice,
in the present politically curved North Central Geopolitical Zone,

formerly callled and popularised as the Middle Belt Minority enclave ,

Which has now become politically caged and factionalised as big, and bloodsucking national monster,

Where destroyers and hoodlums wreak Havocs.
By dismantling long bonds of historical humanitarian altruism,

Which they have now surgically anotomised,

And divided into ethno religiously fractionalized colonies and hostile rival camps,

Against each other and negatively sponsored by both internal ,
as well as external forces.

Now, the die is cast and low and behold,
the crystal ball has now fully revealed,

That henceforth, .Our own Nasarawa State has ceased to be a secular state,

By virtue of the powers of the Christian Association of Nigeria, aka ” CAN”,

Under whose imprimatur, and emotional motives,

several boundaries were curved out,

Based on their superficially conditioned reasons that influenced the outcomes of the Mararaba Karu Accord ,

Now satanically adapted. both ironically as well as paradoxically ,

As ‘Marraban Karu’ Declaration of March 2019,

Which provisions and coded provisory authority,

has .now become benchmarked,
authorising ” only one Christian candidate to contest for the Gubernatorial slot, instead of two”, as prevailing circumstances stand before the Accord!

Now, the question, or questions begging for answers, are;
1: What becomes the fate of the Muslim running mate?
2; What happens to the Alago, Eggons,Mada, Rindre, Mama and Nungus,

as well as the large population of Muslims who are in PDP?

Does it mean, they are now, persona non gratas, under the new CAN dispensation,
Or are they now coopted members of the new CAN controlled PDP?

This is a very interesting conflict of interest resolution and spiritual matrix based issues.

As for me ,personally.I am neither for tribe, religion , or other vacuous banalities,

Because, relatively speaking,

if issues are not determined by conscience and driven by the integrity of the individuals, then all other manifestations are emotionally subjective, ultra vires, and of no consequence, as long as they remain prisoners to human frailties!
Now, let me use this opportunity to clear some mistaken conclusions, some people might wrongly assume:

I am first and fore,by choice and ideological inclinations, an unrepentant social, not partisan politician.

That is why, I have been completely amenable and disposed to the relative template of stockcharacters, whose brand of political pursuations and ideology I always subscribe as well as, identify with.

I also appreciate people who sympathize and emotionally empower the small men in the society, like what the late Sir Ahmadu Bellos, the Awolowo’s, Azikiwes, the Aminu Kano’s, Balarabe Musa’s, Mr. Bello Ijumus, Tanko Sisinas, who were the grassroots/ Talakawas Vanguards in the North(actually the real Mckoys and custodian of the party’s radical foctrine , and facilitating arrow heads of the NEPU and the pristine pro Masses Northern politics)

I therefore, want to explain here,that,I relate with different people across party lines ,whom I consider to have spiritual consensus,rightly,or wrongly, with me,such as;
Arch Namadi Sambo, the former Vice Present,as well as people like Shmed Muhammad Ahmed, the Baraden Nasarawa and former Speaker,Nasarawa State House of Assembly; the Baraden Nasarawa, his Migili Deputy Speaker- Elisha Agbadu, the Alago member from Kadarko now PDP Chairman, Hon. Francis Orogu , ego by right,as well as a radical orientation, I like because of his pro labour unionist dispositions, plus the gentle Muhammad Akpede from Doma, were all people ,I respected, even if, we had sharp differences, based on our perceived party allegiances.

I also accord the same respects feelings to some few other members , like my namesake, Abdulkarim Usman from Wamba who led the House team, who put me in the.interrogation “Hot Box” for three hours, along with Nassara Eggon East representative, Muhammadu Aga Muluku Toto Gadabuke’s gentle Ada Goje and the Akwanga” Mr. Polite” Nasarawa House Member, who later went to the Senate, Distinguished Senator Gyunka,as well as the former Heads of Service , Dr. Dominic A. Aboki , and David Anchau ,respectively, who tested my credibility ,honour and sincerity of purpose, all of whom, I philosophically respect, because, except for fee, there was no malice intended!

Therefore, my final take.and special appeal to my Nasarawa State compatriots, is that, we have so many things in common ,as a community and let us not allow CAN’s insidious political involvement,

Nor divisive pattern of Nigeria’s yype Party politics,

To put assunder what God has permanently joined and put together.

And my final prayer is,with or without CAN, may the best candidate emerge the anointed winner by popular votes and God’s divine powers, amen!

But remember, that After God and his divinely revealed Holy books through the Prophets, your most reliable spiritual companion is your ‘IMAN’, called ‘Conscience ‘in English!
