Tomorrow Saturday the 9th of March all of us in Nasarawa have a date with history. It is a day in which we will make a decision either to continue with the development and progress of the state or to halt it by handing it over to those who have dragged the state to underdevelopment for almost 12 years ( from 1999 to 2011)
As we go to cast our vote in the governorship and State Assembly elections we should ask ourselves the following pertinent questions
Has my well being improved over the past Eight years of APC government in the state? Has my community or village improved within the same time frame?
Looking at the state of of development in Nasarawae state objectively in last Eight years, we need no prompting to say Nasarawa State has benefited tremendously from the APC government under the leadership of Umaru Tanko Al-makura.
In comparative terms the leadership Umaru Tanko Al-makura and the APC government in Nasarawa state has been without doubt the most competent, most achieving administration in the history of the state.
The APC administration in 2011 came with a mission to unite the state by doing away with ethnic and religious considerations in all of its dealings as a government. The APC government under Umaru Tanko Al-makura has de- emphasized alienation and marginalization. In the last eight years, the APC government under its policy of inclusiveness has jettisoned willfull resorts to negative tendencies as we experienced when the PDP held sway in the state. Under the watchful eyes of UmaruTanko Al-makura business of running the government was done in a manner that embraced all shides of opinions and this was done effectively to the admiration of all. The government placed score on competence and excellence as against ethnic and religious considerations. Mediocrity and inefficiency has taken the back seat all throughout the last eight years of APC government in the state.
That is why when you go to cast your vote tomorrow, you will be doing a duty to yourself, to your children, to your brothers and all that you hold dear when you vote APC. You will be voting to bring about continuation of good policies and programmes of APC.
By rejecting PDP and other political parties you are helping to halt the drift into more underdevelopment which 12 years of PDP brought to state until rescued by the APC in 2011. By voting PDP, APGA and any other political party besides APC, you will literally kill this our beautiful state.
If you vote for PDP, APGA or any party outside APC you would have helped consign Nasarawa state to a terrible fate of underdevelopment.
So let us collectively do what is right for our state as we go to vote tomorrow by rejecting PDP, APGA and other mushroom political parties for the sake of our future and the future of our children in Nasarawa state.
