The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Nasarawa state is set to issue Certificates of Return to Governor-elect and Deputy Governor-Elect in the state today.

INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Dr Uthman Ajidagba pointed out that, “INEC would present Certificates of Return Engr. Abdullahi Sule and his Deputy, Dr Emmanuel Akabe at INEC office along Kurikyo Road, GRA, Lafia.”

The presentation of certificates of return to Engr Sule and Dr Akabe is a first step towards changing of political leadership of Nasarawa which final taken over would be consummated on 29 May. Many political observers in Nasarawa state however expressed the belief that Engr Sule’s style of leadership is going to be a complete departure from that of his predecessor as according to them, Engr Sule’s leadership would be pragmatic and people driven.
