
Nasarawa state Commissioner of Information,culture and Tourism Hon. Dogo Shammah has supervised ongoing renovation of NUJ press centre, Lafia, describing the ongoing work as demonstrations of Governor Sule’s passion for uplifting journalism practice in the state
The Commissioner who led the Permanent secretary and departmental directors of the ministry on the supervision, expressed his satisfaction with the level of work done so far at the centre.
He said the NUJ edifice in the state have been transformed and called on all practicing Journalists in the state to reciprocate the gesture by giving government the much needed publicity through balancing and objectives reportage.
While receiving the Commissioner, the state Acting chairman of NUJ, Mrs. Juliana Ose Ofoku thanked Governor Abdullahi A. Sule for the gesture which according to her have changed the face of the press centre saying that the appointment of a Journalist Hon. Dogo Shammah as member of his cabinet was an indication that the Governor is ready to Carry Journalists along.
On his part, the contractor Mr. Sule Aboki said the over N10 million Contract have reached 80 percent completion.
