The newly posted Permanent Secretary of Nasarawa State civil Service Commission, Hussaini Usman Baba, has promised to work in synergy with all staff of the Commission to ensure effective service delivery of government programmes and policies.
Usman Baba who disclosed this while receiving handing over-note from the Covery Permanent Secretary of the Commission, Yarima Maris in his office yesterday, noted that, every categories of staff in the Commission was part of the journey towards moving the Commission forward, adding that, his door was open for any constructing ideas that would added values to the service of Nasarawa State Government.
The Permanent Secretary said, he would consult with other principal staff of the Commission for more clarifications on the areas when the need arises, stressing that, it would go a long way to improve the service delivery in the Commission.
He described Civil Service Commission as a “hub” of civil service administration in the state, saying, all hands must being on desk to ensure that His Excellency Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule exceeding all expectations inrestructuing the civil service in the state.
Earlier, the outgoing Covery Permanent Secretary, Yarima Maris thanked the members, management and the entire staff of the Commission, for acorded him the needed support to served in that capacity and sought for the same support to the Permanent Secretary.
While enumerated his achievements recorded during the period of his staying as a Covering Permanent Secretary noted that, the Commission regularized the appointments of about 1000 casual staff, who were being engaged in Government Ministries, Agencies and Parastatals, as well as employment to fill-in critical areas of staff needs in Ministry of Health in line with His Excellency’s directive. And also the approval given to the Commission to process about 2,700 promotions of
deserving civil servants across the MDAs among others.
