The Nasarawa State ALGON Chairman as well as the Deputy ALGON National President, Hon. Aminu Muazu Maifata has commended the Nigerian Army for the efforts in fighting all forms of social vices and for keeping the unity of Nigeria. Hon. Aminu Muazu Maifata who is also the Chairman Lafia Local Government made this commendation while receiving the new commanding officer of the 177 Battalion Division of the Nigerian Army Captain M.A Kabir during a courtesy visit in his office in Lafia. Hon. Maifata who also lauded the superlative performance of the Nigerian Army at curbing the menace of Boko Haram in the North East and menace of banditry and kidnapping in the North West and some part of North Central as well as the menace of Biafrans in South East, further called on the Nigerian Army not to be distracted by the antics of some of the enemies of Nigeria. Hon. Aminu Muazu Maifata who is also the Jarimi of Lafia pledged to assist the Nigerian Army in their efforts at keeping the peace in Nigeria and for trying to curb social menace in Nigeria.

Speaking earlier, Captain M A Kabir thanked the ALGON Chairman for his support to the Nigerian Army, assuring that his division is committed to ensuring peace and security in Lafia and Nasarawa state in general.
