
The Emir of Lafia,Alhaji Sidi Bage Mohammed has admonished judges in the nations judicial system to always maintain integrity while adjudicating over cases brought before them.
Speaking during the presentation of the book on Electoral Law.and processes in Nigeria written by the Nasarawa State University keffi in his honour, he lamented that the nations judiciary was greatly affected by the judiciary question.
According the situation has so much excercibated presently that Nigerian litigants Are beginning to question the fair ness in the justice system.
He reminded them to be just, fair, upright and maitain integrity so that the nations legal system would be the better for it to give the average Nigerian a sense of belonging.
Alhaji Sidi Bage who is also the chairman of Nasarawa state traditional rulers went down memory lane when he recalled how he delivered a judgement in favour of one governor in southern state at the election petition tribunal without even knowing who the governor was until they met much later at one occasion when he was introduced and the governor had to kneel before him and apologized to him.
According the royal.father this is how the system should be instead of what is happening now calling for a change of heart and mindset.
On his part vice chancellor of the University and publishers of the book recounted the numerous achievements he recorded during his tenure in the institution promised to the University leave better than he met it as his tenure is about end.
Many traditional rulers in Nasarawa state graced the occasion in support of the Emir
who the chairman of Nasarawa state traditional council.
Highlight of the occasion was the book presentation with Senator Ahmed Wadada donated the sum of five million Naira and Barr Danladi Halilu Envulaza made similar presentation for three million Naira.
