Nasarawa State Police Command have arrested a car thief in Nasarawa in the early hours of yesterday after lunching a Manhunt. A statement issued in Lafia by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO)DSP RAMHAN NANSEL, Anipr indicated that
On 23/2/2024 at about 1124hrs, a complaint was lodged at Nasarawa Division by one Aisha Usman of Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa that she parked her vehicle, a red Toyota corolla with registration number NSW 949 PJ at the premises of Government Day Secondary, by Nasarawa Main market and later discovered it has been taken away.
Upon receipt of the complaint, a manhunt was launched to arrest the suspect and recover the stolen vehicle.
The effort paid off when one Yusuf Isah ‘M’ of Koton Karfe Local Government Area of Kogi State was intercepted by well-meaning members of the public along up oversea road.
Consequently, the Police were called upon, and the suspect was arrested, and the vehicle was recovered from him as exhibit.
While commending members of the public for their support, the commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada psc, mni assures them of the Command’s unwavering commitment to their safety.
