The Executive Chairman of Lafia Local Government Council, Hon. Aminu Muazu Maifata, has called on residents, particularly youths, to reject social vices and support the progress and development of the state. He made this appeal during an emergency security meeting held on Sunday at his office.

Maifata advised parents to caution their children against participating in a planned demonstration by “ungrateful elements” who aim to destroy property and undermine the efforts of President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and Engr. A.A. Sule’s APC-led administration.
The Chairman expressed gratitude to security agencies, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and various unions for their support.
The Emir of Lafia, HRH Hon. Justice Sidi Bage Mohammad 1 CFR, represented by Alh. Musa Abubakar Mamser, assured the Council of the youths’ support in warning their peers against involvement in destructive activities.
Security agencies’ representatives pledged to ensure total compliance and warned that any youths found participating in destructive activities would face consequences.
The emergency security meeting resolved to:
- Warn youths against participating in destructive activities
- Support security agencies in maintaining law and order
- Encourage community leaders to sensitize their members on the importance of peace and development.
