To further ascertain the level of preparedness of the over thirty programmes in the institution for the seasonal re-accreditation, resource inspection and accreditation, the Acting Rector, Isa Mustapha Agwai I Polytechnic Lafia, Dr. Nurudeen Mu’azu Maifata has expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness of the institution to host the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), Nigeria’s regulatory body for the promotion of technical and vocational education and training.
A statement issued by the Directorate of Information, Public Relations and Protocol of polytechnic yesterday, indicated that hundred percent of the preparation towards the accreditation were completed which made the Rector of polytechnic Dr. Maifata to salute the staff of the institution for the resourcefulness and team spirit they exhibited for the betterment of the Polytechnic.
While acknowledging the limitless significance of the accreditation exercise by NBTE in the institution, the statement noted that virtually every programme is ready for the periodic activity.
The statement further said that the Rector was hopeful that with the commitment put in place, the NBTE would meticulously consider the Polytechnic for a full-fledged quality assurance purposes in the programmes run by the institution.
“Commenting on his expectations, Dr. Maifata believed that the institution’s programmes awaiting accreditation would get accredited as required.” The statement added.
It then said Dr Maifata called for sustained working relationship with the staff of the Polytechnic to achieve the purpose of the on-going and upcoming exercises, appreciating them for the unswerving cooperation so far.
The statement stressed that the marathon mock exercise had in the Acting Rector’s entourage, the Director of Information, Public Relations and Protocol, Mukhtar Wakeel, Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Ibrahim Dauda, Director of Quality Assurance amongst others.
