Nasarawa State chapter of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC has congratulated the newly elected State Chairman of People’s Democratic Party PDP Adamu Bako for his victory at the congress of the party held in Lafia last week.

Chairman of the APC Dr. Aliyu Bello, who on behalf of the state executive council of the party extended APC’s warmest congratulations to the newly elected PDP Chairman, said Adamu Bako’s victory was well deserved.

Dr Aliyu Bello who  acknowledged the place of PDP in promoting democratic values through citizen engagement, however advised the new PDP chairman to use his position to build upon this legacy to serve as source of inspirations to new generation.

While describing Adamu Bako as a seasoned politician well experience in act of party administration, Dr Aliyu Bello urged him to deploy this experience towards promoting  principles of good governance, entrenching popular participation in the political process, as well as  galvanizing the PDP to serve as robust competitive partnerships  for the overall well-being of the citizenry.

While also calling on the PDP to always offer meaningful and constructive criticism, the APC Chairman call on PDP to be supportive of the people-driven policies of the Governor Abdullahi A. Sule.

Dr Aliyu Bello who appreciated the outgoing chairman of the PDP, Francis Orogu, for his invaluable contributions in shaping the spirit of political cooperation and peaceful competitiveness during his reign as chairman of the opposition political party, however wished Francis Orogu well in his future endeavors.
