The Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA), alongside the Commissioner on Special Duties and Humanitarian Services and the State Coordinator of the World Health Organization, visited Doma to commiserate with victims of the recent devastating floods.A statement issued in Lafia by Umar Namadi, personal assistant to the executive secretary, said the executive secretary, Dr. Iskilu Usman Saleh, along with the team, paid the visit to console and support the affected victims and to assure them of government support at all times. He disclosed that they were physically present to ensure government assistance reaches those in need.
The executive secretary further stated that the visit was also to demonstrate the government’s stand in solidarity with the people of Doma during this difficult time.
He added that the government’s priority at the moment was to provide immediate relief and support to the victims while still working towards long-term solutions to mitigate the effects of future menace not only in Doma but across the state.
While thanking the Nasarawa state government and the World Health Organization for their humanitarian services, Dr. Iskilu then prayed against further occurrence of the disaster.
