Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada has explained that their type of politics centres on creation awareness in the electorates for them to know the deference between their right and their left. Speaking at a meeting with the state executive council of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and all wards and local government officials of the party from the western zone held at his Polo ranch in Keffi yesterday, Senator Wadada stressed that it was because of this kind of politics that they were able to win both the Senatorial, House Representative, and State Assembly seats in the last general elections. Senator Wadada, who is the chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Accounts, noted that for people to join a party just three months before the elections and win the elections overwhelmingly was something spectacular. Senator Wadada, who is also the Sarkin Yaki of Keffi, attributed their victory in 2019 to the type of politics they played and vowed to continue with the same in all the subsequent elections. Senator Wadada, who mucked those who are saying that the fortunes of SDP in Nasarawa West are diminishing, however, maintained that the three legs of a horse are far better than the four legs of a goat. He pointed out that the fortunes of SDP will never deminish one inch, adding that instead of deminishing, the fortunes are waxing stronger with every passing day. While appreciating all members of the SDP in the zone for being faithful to the party, Senator Wadada assured that he will not let the confidence they reposed in them through their votes go in vain. “Even the most pessimists will not say we haven’t done anything tangible in uplifting the lives of our people since we were elected; the projects we executed and are presently executing are glaring, and the interventions we made and are presently making are glaring.” “We challenge whoever says, whoever holds the belief or opinion that we haven’t done anything to come out and pinpoint our lapses thus far,” Senator Wadada further added. On his ambition to contest the governorship position in Nasarawa come 2027, Senator Wadada revealed that the decision to contest the office of the governor is irreversible so long as he is hale and hearty. “So long as I am alive and well, nothing will stop me from contesting the office of the governor in 2027 by the special grace of Almighty God.” He hinted that contesting for the office of governor is a done deal.
