NPHCDA/NAPHDA Flags Off 10 Days Retraining Of Health Workers In Nasarawa

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency, in collaboration with the Nasarawa state primary health care development agency, has flagged off retraining of health workers in Nasarawa. Speaking at the flag-off ceremony held at Dunama Primary School Lafia today, the Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa state primary health care development agency, Dr. Usman Iskilu Saleh, appealed to health workers in Nasarawa state to pay more attention to their work. According to him, the health sector is a vital sector that requires its practitioners to be meticulous. He pointed out that of paramount importance to all health personnel should be serving a life. While advising the participants to pay more attention to the training, the Executive Secretary commended the national primary health care development agency for coming up with this retraining of health workers in Nasarawa State. He assured that NAPHDA will focus more on retraining its workers for the enhancement of their skills, which is crucial as professionals.

He said that “Updating skills as health professionals is very important since we are dealing with the lives of the people.”
“Training further helps workers adapt to evolving health challenges, such as new diseases or public health emergencies,” Dr. Iskilu further stressed.
He noted that retraining increases job satisfaction as it enhances morale and among health workers.
