Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu has warned the Nigerian electorates not to allow our political space to be occupied by Mediocres. Speaking during the induction of new members of the Nigerian Chartered Institute of Taxation organized by the institute in Lagos today, Senator Wadada observed that allowing mediocres to take over our political spaces is tantamount to allowing erosions of our laws and institutions. Senator Wadada, who is also an inductee, also warned against ethnic and religious politics, stressing that people should be wary of political mediocres hiding under the cover of either ethnic or religious sentiments to get people’s votes. While stressing the importance of political powers, Senator Wadada, who is also the senator representing Nasarawa West in the current senate, and the Sarkin Yaki Keffi further observed that political spaces should be left for the occupation of the right people who know and respect the feelings of the citizens. He commended the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Taxation of Nigeria for organizing the induction and assured that, as an inductee, he will do everything possible to promote and protect the ethics of the profession.
