The creation of the Nasarawa State Bureau of Statistics is a forward-thinking move by Governor Sule.
This Bureau will enable government to make data-driven decisions in various sectors, such as economic planning, healthcare, education, and infrastructural development.
The appointment of Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim, a well-certified and experienced professional, as the head of the agency wii ensure the gathering of accurate and reliable data for the state.
Dr. Ibrahim emphasized the need for the management staff to work together to achieve the mission and vision of the Bureau. The statistician General stated this during an emergency management meeting in his office in Lafia.
He stressed that the management must work in tandem to ensure the success of the Bureau.
The agency has already taken steps to create awareness among government MDAs about its existence and has planned visits to other states and Abuja to learn from their experiences.
The establishment of the Bureau will attract more investors, create jobs and employment opportunities, and support research work, academic studies, and policy analysis.
This move by Governor Sule demonstrates his commitment to transparency and data-driven decision making, which will undoubtedly drive development in Nasarawa State.
