The chairman of Wamba Local Government Area has been encouraged to explore additional revenue streams to support infrastructural development in rural areas.
This suggestion was made by Yashi community leader Audu Mangut during a congratulatory visit to the chairman.
Audu emphasized that the current local government subvention is inadequate, highlighting the need for alternative revenue sources.
Earlier, Bala Atot, president of the Yashi Development Association (YADA), explained that the visit aimed to congratulate the chairman on his recent electoral success.
Bala also requested the chairman’s assistance in electrifying Yashi Madaki and Yashi Sarki, and emphasized the importance of considering Yashi community members for political appointments at the local government level.
In response, Hon. Ezekiel Musa Jaga, chairman of Wamba Local Government, expressed gratitude to the Yashi community for their visit.
He encouraged them to align with the ruling party to benefit from the dividends of democracy.
