ANRiN Stakeholders Commend NAPHDA Collaborations With NPHCDA

ANRiN stakeholders commend NAPHDA’s collaborations with the National Primary Health Development Agency (NPHCDA). For that, the ANRiN Project Team invited NAPHDA for a 3-day workshop in Abuja last week,  for stakeholders to reassess and evaluate the performance of the programme. The Executive Secretary of the Nasarawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, Dr. Iskilu Salah, was also personally commended for his commitment to ensuring the successful completion of the first stage of the programme in the ate. In a letter signed by the Head Nutrition/Department Director of Public Health, Dr. Ogechi Akalonu stressed the objective of the meeting as ”there is a need to come together to share success stories, case studies, and lessons learned to inspire creativity and continuous improvement in sustainability efforts”.Dr. Akalonu further observed that ”Sustainability planning is essential for driving positive change, fostering innovation, building capacity, and ensuring long-term success and impact; promoting innovative approaches and best practices; and encouraging stakeholders to explore new ideas, technologies, and methodologies to address sustainability challenges.

Similarly, the Executive Secretary of NAPHDA, Dr. Usman Iskilu Saleh, yesterday in Abuja attended a crucial meeting with relevant stakeholders on nutrition, including World Bank representatives and HOPE and ARIN Project Dr. Olumide and Ritgak. On the sidelines of the meeting, Dr. Iskilu also met with Mrs. Uju Rochas Okorocha, who is the Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Public Nutrition, office of the Vice President Kashim Shattima. Their discussion centres on how to improve food nutrition in Nasarawa State as part of broader efforts towards curbing malnutrition in the state.
