Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, Senator representing Nasarawa West, has denied the insinuations that he is in full support of tax reform bills presented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. A statement issued by the Wadada media office described the insinuations that he is in support of the bills as not only malicious but unfounded. The statement noted that all insinuations were being peddled by those who were afraid of his political clout, and their aim was calculated at tarnishing his impeccable reputation so as to score a political goal where there was none to score. The statement further stressed that for those who care to study Senator Wadada, they know him as somebody who doesn’t just jump on issues without first knowing what the thing is all about, adding that the stand of Senator Wadada on the proposed bills was not different from the position of the people of his constituency. “Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada will always remain for the people, with the people, and by the people,” the statement pointed out. While maintaining that Senator Wadada’s dedication to the aspirations of his people is uncompromising, the statement stressed further that no amount of baseless accusations will deter him from shifting or running away from his people or deter him from fulfilling his mandate. The statement urged Senator Wadada’s political supporters and well-wishers in Nasarawa State and beyond to remain vigilant against attempts to sow the seed of discord among them by way of spreading falsehoods. “Senator Wadada’s mission is clear: to continue championing the aspirations of his people, fostering, and driving development. These core values will not be shaken by baseless antics of detractors,” it further explained. The statement, which describes Senator Wadada as a man whose time has come, also said the record of service, dedication to his constituents, and unrelenting focus on national progress has placed Senator Wadada in a class of his own, pointing out that no amount of propaganda can overshadow the goodwill he enjoys from his people, who have since recognized him as a leader for all seasons. The statement assured the people of Nasarawa West and the entire citizens of Nasarawa State that all divisive narratives against Senator Wadada will fail woefully, adding that together the people will form a common vision of a united and prosperous Nasarawa State.
