Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Danladi Jatau has called for an end to the growing cases of kidnapping and other insecurity in the society.

The Speaker made the call when he led some lawmakers Hon. Esson Mairiga, Lafia North, Hon. Solomon Akwashiki, Lafia Central and a Business Man in the State A. A. Ashangwa to paid a sympathy visit to Dr Haruna Joseph Kigbu, former House of Representative Member over his recent abduction and subsequent released by kidnappers.

The Speaker said that it is unfortunate that the act of kidnapping has become a business among some disgruntled elements in the country and called on the security agencies to intensify effort in bringing the menace to an end.

Speaker Jatau sympathized with Dr Kigbu, over the death of his police orderly, who was shot by the kidnappers.

While noting that security is everybody’s business, the Nasarawa State Number Three Citizen called for collective efforts by all to end the ugly trend in the society.

Responding, Dr Haruna Joseph Kigbu appreciated the Speaker, Honourable members and other entourage for the visit and prayed God to bless them and protect the people against all forms of  evils.
