The Nasarawa State Government has reiterated its commitment to strengthening the health care services in Nasarawa State with a view to meeting international best practices. Similarly, it has also vowed to upgrade all health facilities across the state. The governor of Nasarawa state, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, who made this commitment while unveiling the upgrading of 58 primary healthcare centres held in Akwanga Wednesday, stressed that his administration is determined to provide accessible healthcare services to the people, adding that all health sector projects started by his administration will be completed before the end of his tenure in 2027.
Speaking through the Hon. Commissioner of Health, Dr. Gaza Gwona, Engr. Sule said the essence of the upgrade, which was done in collaboration with the Impact project, was to ensure effective implementation of primary healthcare in every part of the state.
Also speaking during the unveiling, the executive secretary of NAPHDA, Dr. Usman Iskilu Saleh, commended the governor, Abdullahi Sule, for revitalizing primary health care services in the state and assured that NAPHDA under his watch will do everything possible to ensure that all policies and programmes of government in relation to primary health care are executed to the letter.
