A movement known as Wadada’s Southern Force has been formed aiming at mobilising citizens of southern Nasarawa to support the aspirations of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada to become governor of Nasarawa state after the expiration of the tenure of Engr. Abdullahi Sule in 2027. A statement issued in Lafia and signed by Comrade Musa Umar Aboki indicated that the main thrust of the movement was to educate and enlighten the people of the southern senatorial district on the ideals of Senator Wadada and his political as well as economic capabilities of moving Nasarawa state to the desired destinations leveraging on the foundation already laid by Engr Abdullahi Sule.
“We are at the cusp of a new era in our state’s history, and it’s time to unite behind a leader who embodies the values of resilience, integrity, and progress. Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu Sarkin Yakin Keffi is that leader, and we invite you to join Wadada’s Southern Force for the collective interest of the future of our children and those yet unborn by ensuring that we elect him as the next governor of Nasarawa State in 2027,” the statement stressed. The statement, which gave further insight into the objectives of the movement, included, among others: to mobilise support for Senator Wadada’s gubernatorial bid across Nasarawa South, to promote the values of good governance, transparency, and accountability, To empower citizens to take ownership of their future and demand better leadership, The statement also observed that, as a first-term senator representing the Nasarawa West Senatorial District, Senator Wadada has demonstrated time without numbers his capacity as a leader who truly cares about the welfare of his people through so many interventions.  The statement noted Senator Wadada’s commitment to the development of Nasarawa State is unwavering, and his vision for a brighter future is inspiring. While indicating that Senator Wadada is one person that we can expect transformative leadership from, the statement maintained that he will surely bring people together to foster unity and drive progress, adding that since he will run an inclusive governance, certainly his government will be a listening government regardless of one’s socioeconomic status and regardless of one’s religious or ethnic background.

The statement then urges citizens of southern senatorial districts to join the movement and be part of the people that will shape the future of Nasarawa state, stressing that together, we can make a difference and create a brighter future for ourselves, our children, and generations to come.
