The old Students Association of Al-iman School, Lafia, has conferred an award of excellence on the executive secretary of NAPHDA, Dr. Usman Iskilu Saleh, as Icon of Hope. Speaking while receiving the award in Lafia Sunday, Dr. Iskilu thanks the old Students Association for finding him worthy of the award as Icon of Hope. He pointed out that the award will go a long way in spurring him the more towards giving out humanitarian causes, including health care services. He explained thatThe award of giving it to him signifies the recognition of the role he played during his school days, adding that the award will in many ways help in fostering unity among students of Al-iman. While urging students of the Al-iman to always strive for excellence, Dr. Iskilu appealed to them to always support the government of Engr. Abdullahi Sule. According to him, Engr. Sule has a tremendous attachment to education, saying that it was for this reason that he, Engr. Sule, accorded the lion’s share in the 2025 budget to the education sector.Speaking earlier, Comrade Huzaifa Ozegya, who is the president of the association, explained that they gave the award to Dr. Iskilu because of his qualities of leadership. He then gave an assurance that as an association, they would do their best to keep the flag of the school flying.
