In it continuation effort to equip young women in the state with desire skills that will improve their livelihoods, the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is set to enroll the third batch of the skills acquisition programme in the state.
The programme which is expected to last for three months, is aimed at teaching the trainees on facial makeup and also on how to tide Gelle.
Addressing the trainees at the SDGs’s boardroom, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals, Abubakar Murtala Mohammad, represented by the Head of the Technical, Mr. Ahmed Tsaku said, the SDGs skills acquisition programme was in line with Governor Abdullahi A Sule ‘s administration policy direction to equip youths in the state the needed skills that would make them entrepreneurship and employability, in order to eradicate poverty in the society.
He commended His Excellency for the support given to SDGs to carry out this impactful programme, maintaining that, SDGs skills acquisition programme was a unique one, considering the robust starter packs provided by the Office, to the trainees at the end of the programme.
He enjoyed the trainees to be committed to their training programme to justify the SDGs huge investment, warning that, the agency would not condole any act of truancy and other negative tendencies during the exercise, saying any one found wanting would be existed from the programme.
It would be recalled that, the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on SDGs, trained over Fifty young women in the state, on various skills acquisition programmes in the year 2022 to 2024, where various starter packs were given to them to start up thair businesses
