SDGs Harps On Punctuality, Commitment To Training Programmes

Management and the staff of the Nasarawa State Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) penultimate Wednesday had an interface with the selected women in the state, who were shortlisted for the SDGs skills acquisition training programme.

During the meeting, the head of the Project Support Unit (PSU), Ahmed Tsaku, who stood in for the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on SDGs, charged the trainees to be punctual and committed to the training exercises, adding that SDGs would continue to monitor them closely to ensure that the trainees got the needed skills on facial makeup and how to tie a gele.

Mr. Tsaku explained that the SDGs office in the state was committed to providing sustainable skills to youth, especially women and vulnerable individuals, in order to improve their financial status, noting that SDGs would not hesitate to replace any trainee that is not dedicated to the training programme with someone.

Tsaku equally tasked them to abide by the rules and regulations of the organisation as they stay during their training programme, so as to be good ambassadors of SDGs whenever they find themselves.

He reaffirmed the SDGs positions to provide robust starter packs to the trainees after their training that would help them set up their businesses.

Some of the SDGs staff who spoke during the meeting urged the trainees to be committed to the training exercise, stressing that they were lucky to be among the beneficiaries of the SDGs skills acquisition programmeme and highlighting the benefit attached to the programmeme thereafter.
