Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Water Resources and Rural Development, Engr. Akase Abdullahi Ayitogo has described the immediate past Commisioner of the Ministry, Alhaji Abubakar Odah Akum as embodiment of truth and integrity, whom he said inspired many, during his service year in the Ministry.
The Permanent Secretary, who recall his cordial working relationship with the former Commisioner, during the sent forth, organized in honour of the Commisioner and the Director of Water Resources of the Ministry, explained that, Abubakar Odah during his commisionership, initiated a lot of policies and programmes that have made the Ministry of Water Resources and other water related agencies viables in the state.
Ayitogo noted that, a lot have been achieved in the Ministry under the watched of the former Commissioner, stressing that, the management and the competent staff of the Ministry would continue to build on the former Commisioner ‘s legacy towards achieving Ministry’s goals.
While extolling the virtues of the former Commisioner, the Permanent secretary discribed him as an inspirator and father to all in the Ministry, adding that, staff of the Ministry would miss his fatherly advice and counseling.
Various heads of agencies related to Ministry of Water Resources showered accolades on the leadership quality of the former Commisioner in the Ministry, which the believed that has transformed their respective agencies.
They expressed their desire to continue to work closely with the Ministry of Water Resources, with a view to achieving their Agencies set objectives.
The former Commissioner alongside the Director of Water Resources, who could not hold their feelings expressed their appreciations to the Management and the staff of the Ministry for the support given to them during their years in service, urging the staff to accord same support to the Permanent Secretary towards moving the Ministry toward.
