Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State, on Sunday received in audience the newly appointed Executive Director of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Aisha Rufai Ibrahim, at the Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.
The meeting was more than a courtesy call—it was a moment of appreciation and reaffirmation of commitment to service. Aisha Rufai Ibrahim, a former Commissioner for Women Affairs in Nasarawa State, paid the thank-you visit to express her gratitude for the unwavering support that paved the way for her latest federal appointment.
Governor Sule, known for his consistent push for inclusive governance and youth and women empowerment, used the opportunity to commend the appointment of Mrs. Ibrahim as a significant milestone for the state. He congratulated her and charged her to be a shining ambassador for Nasarawa at the NCDC.
“You are not only representing Nasarawa State, but the entire North Central region. Carry this responsibility with dedication and integrity,” Governor Sule stated during the meeting. “I trust you will make us proud by delivering results that uplift our people.”
Mrs. Ibrahim, visibly humbled and inspired, assured the Governor of her readiness to serve with diligence. Her background in advocating for women’s and children’s rights, as well as her administrative experience, positions her as a strong voice for sustainable development in the region.
The North Central Development Commission was established to coordinate and drive infrastructure development, economic growth, and social inclusion in the region. With Aisha Rufai Ibrahim’s appointment, hopes are high that the commission will deepen its impact in communities across Nasarawa and beyond.
The meeting, which took place in Abuja, served not only as a celebration of achievement but as a call to action for public servants to remain connected to their roots and committed to the people.
As Nasarawa State continues to produce leaders who are recognized at the national level, Governor Sule’s administration remains focused on fostering excellence and building partnerships that benefit the entire state.
