Tinubu’s Giving Hope To Hopeless, Says Senator Wadada

Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, Chairman, Senate Public Accounts Committee, has said that President Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is truly working, giving back hope to the hopeless in the society.

Senator Wadada stated during the official commissioning of a resettlement city for concerned persons in Pyanko, Keffi on Saturday.

According to the lawmaker, the essence of governance is not anything else than caring for the lives and properties of the people.

He added that by resettling internally displaced persons, President Tinubu is giving hope to the hopeless.

“We are gathered here today to celebrate a milestone achievement enveloped under the mantra of renewed hope, steered by our President, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu. To the government of Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, we applaud it, and we commend it. Governance or leadership is not anything else than caring for the lives of the citizens and their properties. But the most important thing is the lives of the citizens, particularly citizens who have lost hope. Because anybody that is internally displaced is hopeless. This is giving hope to the hopeless. The renewed hope is truly working,” he said.

Senator Wadada expressed confidence that with the commitment of the Tinubu administration to humanity, in no distant time, IDP camps would disappear as reasons for the displacement would be removed.

He used the opportunity to also commend the Federal Commissioner, National Commission For Refugees Migrants And Internally Displaced (NCFRMI), Tijani Aliyu Ahmed for making sure the initiative came to fruition.

“To the people of Nasarawa West Senatorial District, this is a political goal scored for this to be here,” he stated.

The NCFRMI resettlement city for persons of concerned located in Pyanko, Keffi, was commissioned by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

According to the NCFRMI boss, the facility aims to achieve durable solutions to address the plight of the concerned persons, through the provision of decent shelter, reasonable means of livelihoods, and access to social services.

“This city comprises 40 housing units, made up of 20, 2-bedroom, 20, 1-bedroom, with each unit having a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. There is also a health centre, skills centre, a market stall, 2-blocks of three classrooms with a capacity for 120 people, a security outpost, as well as three thriving greenhouses, an innovation of our Federal Commissioner for farming activities,” he said.

He explained that the 40 households comprises of 239 individuals who are presently living in secured environment.
