In a powerful display of political alignment and strategic unity, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Hon. Dr. Aliyu Bello, recently played host to a high-level delegation of Governor’s aides at the APC State Secretariat in Lafia. The meeting, described by observers as timely and pivotal, brought together key players in the administration of Governor Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule under one roof with the leadership of the ruling party in the state.
The visiting delegation—comprising Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Personal Assistants—was led by Hon. Baba Shehu, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Matters. In his remarks, Hon. Shehu underscored the loyalty of the aides to both the APC and the administration, and praised the party for its steadfast support. His message was clear: the aides remain firmly committed to advancing the developmental vision of Governor Sule and fortifying the APC’s influence across the state.
Dr. Aliyu Bello, who doubles as Chairman of the Governing Board of the Nigeria Agricultural Insurance Corporation (NAIC), warmly welcomed the visit, describing it as a symbol of political maturity and an opportunity to deepen the collaboration between the party and the executive arm. He emphasized that in an evolving political landscape, such unity is not only desirable but essential for sustainable governance and effective service delivery.
“The success of any administration rests heavily on how well the party and its appointees work in harmony,” Dr. Bello noted. “You are the Governor’s eyes and ears across the local governments. We must constantly align strategies and communicate clearly to meet the expectations of our people.”
He encouraged the aides to remain innovative and proactive, urging them to roll out grassroots-oriented programs that reflect the priorities of the administration and resonate with the people. “The Governor has a clear vision for Nasarawa State,” Dr. Bello said. “It is your responsibility as his foot soldiers to interpret and implement this vision in a way that delivers real impact.”
In assuring the aides of the party’s unwavering support, Dr. Bello laid the groundwork for what many hope will be a deeper and more effective partnership between the party’s leadership and those executing the government’s mandate.
This engagement sends a strong signal about the APC’s resolve to consolidate its achievements in Nasarawa State and sustain a cohesive structure ahead of future political contests. For many political analysts, the meeting represents a new phase in intra-party cooperation—one that prioritizes synergy, feedback, and the grassroots connection.
As Nasarawa State continues its developmental journey, such collaborative initiatives between party leadership and government officials could prove critical in ensuring not just political stability but real progress that reaches every corner of the state.
