
The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has officially invited all Executive Secretaries of State Primary Health Care Boards (SPHCBs) to the 2025 First Quarter Review Meeting. The meeting aims to strengthen coordination and improve the implementation of Primary Health Care (PHC) activities across Nigeria.
Scheduled to hold at the WACOP Hotel and Conference Centre, Gaduwa, Abuja, the residential meeting will run from Wednesday, June 18, through Saturday, June 21, 2025. The Executive Director and CEO of NPHCDA, Dr. Muyi Aina, emphasized the importance of this gathering in driving transparency, accountability, and positive change within the PHC space.
Key objectives of the meeting include updating participants on the progress of major NPHCDA programmes such as Maternal and Child Health Integrated Initiative (MAMII), Midwives Service Scheme (MSS) transitioning, DRIVE initiative, open Logistics Management Information System (LMIS), and Family Life Health and Wellness Training (FLHWT). Additionally, SPHCBs will share updates on PHC activities aligned with current national priorities, including the revitalization of Primary Health Care Services and Presidential Bond priorities.
The meeting will also feature orientation sessions on the HOPE-PHC and the National Emergency Medical Services Agency System (NEMSAS), highlighting partnership opportunities and prospects.
Dr. Aina noted that this collaborative platform is critical for enhancing service delivery and sustaining a Primary Health Care system that is safe, timely, affordable, equitable, effective, efficient, and people-centered.
