NASWAMSA Boss Champions New Partnership With Dangote Sinotruck

To enhanced waste management, logistics and boosting operational efficiency across Nasarawa State, the Director-General of the Nasarawa State Waste Management and Sanitation Authority (NASWAMSA), Mohammed Bello Isa, recently led a delegation from Dangote Sinotruk West Africa Limited on a courtesy visit to Governor Abdullahi Sule.

The visit, held on Friday, marked a pivotal step in NASWAMSA’s ongoing mission to improve environmental services in the state. At the heart of the meeting was a promising proposal by Dangote Sinotruk West Africa Limited to supply specialized waste management trucks tailored to meet the unique needs of Nasarawa’s growing urban centers.

As population growth and commercial activities continue to escalate waste generation in the state, NASWAMSA faces increasing operational demands. Mohammed Bello Isa emphasized to Governor Sule the urgent need for additional logistics support, particularly durable, purpose-built waste evacuation trucks that can navigate the varied terrain and efficiently handle the state’s waste profile.

Representatives from Dangote Sinotruk West Africa Limited outlined the robust range of truck models available, highlighting their capacities, durability, and suitability for Nasarawa’s environment. The company also committed to delivering comprehensive after-sales support, including training and maintenance, ensuring that the partnership extends beyond mere equipment supply.

Governor Abdullahi Sule expressed profound satisfaction with the proposed collaboration, praising NASWAMSA for its relentless efforts in maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. He acknowledged how these efforts have significantly enhanced Nasarawa State’s reputation as a progressive and environmentally conscious region.

Reaffirming his administration’s dedication to environmental sustainability, Governor Sule assured the delegation of continued government support for initiatives that align with the state’s development agenda and improve residents’ quality of life. He underscored the importance of strategic partnerships like this one in achieving operational excellence and fostering sustainable development.

The meeting concluded on a hopeful note, with NASWAMSA and Dangote Sinotruk West Africa Limited renewing their commitment to work hand-in-hand toward the realization of this partnership. Stakeholders are optimistic that the introduction of these specialized vehicles will be a game-changer for waste management operations in Nasarawa State, bringing about more efficient service delivery and a cleaner environment for all residents.

This collaboration not only signifies a practical step forward in tackling the waste challenges faced by Nasarawa State but also reflects a broader vision for a greener, healthier future — one where government, private sector, and communities unite to safeguard the environment for generations to come.
