Senator Wadada Appoints SSA Media, SA Social Media

Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Public Accounts Committee (SPAC), has announced key appointments to his communications team. Sam Israel has been named Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, while Victor Akawu takes on the role of Special Assistant on Social Media.

The appointments, effective from July 2, 2025, were disclosed in a statement made available to Nasarawa Eye in Lafia. The statement highlighted the expertise of both appointees in media management, publicity, and communications.

In their new roles, Sam Israel and Victor Akawu will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Senator’s media relations and public communications to ensure that his messages are effectively conveyed to the public. Their duties will include developing and implementing a comprehensive media strategy aligned with Senator Wadada’s communication goals, drafting press releases and statements, fostering relationships with media professionals, and managing media appearances such as interviews and press conferences.

Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, who holds the traditional title of Sarkin Yakin Keffi, is a prominent legislator actively engaged in numerous Senate committees. His assignments include Marine Transport; Ecology and Climate Change; Agriculture Production, Services and Rural Development; Employment and Productivity; Foreign Affairs; Solid Minerals; Youth and Sports; Oil and Gas Host Communities; Trade and Investments; Women Affairs; and Media and Public Affairs.

These new appointments are seen as a strategic move to enhance the Senator’s public engagement and communication efforts as he continues to serve his constituents and the nation.
