In a vibrant continuation of his agricultural empowerment initiative, Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu (Sarkin Yakin Keffi) representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, has distributed free fertilizer and improved seedlings to farmers across Keffi, Kokona, and Karu Local Government Areas.
The large-scale outreach mirrors earlier efforts in Toto and Nasarawa LGAs, drawing praise from local leaders and farming communities alike.
Senator Wadada Speaking through his Campaign Director, Honorable Bello Ramalan during the distribution ceremony held at the Keffi Polo Ranch along Keffi – Abuja road said this is not just fertilizer and seedlings, but food security, economic growth packed in bags.
He added that “He is investing in the hands that feed the nation.”
The event, which drew representatives of traditional rulers, women leaders, youth associations, witnessed thousands of farmers receiving supplies aimed at improving this year’s planting season and boosting harvest yields.
The senator emphasized that his passion for agriculture is rooted in the belief that sustainable food systems are key to job creation, peace, and economic resilience in Nasarawa State.
“When we empower a farmer, we empower a family. And when we empower families, we build a strong and secure state,” he added.
Many beneficiaries described the initiative as timely, especially as rising input costs continue to plague rural farmers.
Hajiya Salamatu Musa, a beneficiary in Karu, said the support came “just in time,” adding that her community has “never had a senator this present and responsive.”
Wadada’s commitment to grassroots empowerment is well documented. Over the past year, he has facilitated vocational equipment, solar street lighting, borehole projects, and educational scholarships across Nasarawa West. His interventions have reached students, women, artisans, and traditional communities in equal measure “This man works like a governor already,” remarked Alhaji Danlami, a youth leader from Karshi. “He gives dignity to public service.”
Earlier this year, Wadada distributed 10,000 bags of rice, provided equipment to over 400 youth entrepreneurs, sponsored WAEC/NABTEB registration for hundreds of students, and donated ₦5 million to victims of the tragic Keffi accident—demonstrating both capacity and compassion.
In the Senate, he has sponsored critical legislation aimed at transforming the education and agriculture sectors, including a bill for the establishment of the Federal School of Fishery and Aquatic Sciences in Toto LGA and support for mineral resource exploration, especially lithium.
Observers say these interventions are shaping public opinion in his favor as the 2027 governorship race gains momentum.
“Wadada understands our needs because he listens,” said Chief Moses Ango, a traditional titleholder in Panda. “He’s not waiting for campaign season—he’s already serving like a governor.”
Wadada’s political philosophy is anchored in proximity to the people. He remains the only senator in Nasarawa State who has appointed aides across all 59 wards of his district—ensuring consistent feedback and accountability.
As farmers return to their fields with renewed energy and hope, Senator Ahmed Wadada’s message rings clear: the future of Nasarawa lies in the hands of its people, and those hands must be supported, not ignored.
His supporters believe that if this momentum is sustained, Nastarawa State will soon witness an era of inclusive, visionary, and transformative leadership under his watch.
