In a goodwill message personally signed by Senator Wadada, the lawmaker praised Dr. Adamu, popularly known as the Turakin Keffi, as a political colossus whose influence on the democratic and political trajectory of Nasarawa State and Nigeria remains enduring.
“Dr. Abdullahi Adamu is not only a pillar of democracy but also a mentor to generations,” Wadada stated. “He stands as the political pathfinder who laid the enduring foundation of modern Nasarawa State.”
Highlighting the celebrant’s storied political journey, Senator Wadada noted Dr. Adamu’s rise from the Constituent Assembly of the 1970s to serving as Governor of Nasarawa State from 1999 to 2007, later representing Nasarawa West in the Senate, and eventually becoming National Chairman of the ruling APC in 2022.
“Your journey is one marked by vision, discipline, and a rare blend of courage and conviction,” the Senator said. “From governance to party leadership, you have served the nation with distinction, leaving behind structures, systems, and leaders who continue to draw inspiration from your legacy.”
Wadada emphasized that Dr. Adamu’s legacy extends beyond titles and positions, pointing to his mentorship, commitment to service, and role in nurturing young political leaders as some of his most lasting contributions.
“On behalf of my family, political associates, and the people of Nasarawa West, I wish Your Excellency a joyous and memorable birthday,” he added. “May Almighty Allah (SWT) continue to preserve you in strength and honour.”
