Wadada Connect Group Holds Stakeholders Meeting, Sets Up Committee to Address Internal Grievances

A political support group working for Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu’s 2027 gubernatorial ambition, Wadada Connect, held a critical stakeholders meeting on Sunday to address growing internal grievances among its members.

The meeting, convened by Alhaji Tijjani Abubakar, Chairman and CEO of Suraj Oil and Gas, brought together key stakeholders of the group in a bid to foster unity and strengthen internal cohesion ahead of the upcoming election season.

During the meeting, which was held at the office complex of the group located along Makurdi road Lafia, concerns were raised regarding the leadership style and direction of the group, prompting the formation of a seven-man committee tasked with looking into the grievances and recommending lasting solutions.

Alhaji Tijjani Abubakar was appointed chairman of the committee, which includes the following members: Rayyanu Bala, Hon. Moses Amagbo, Alh Dan Almajiri, Umaru Musa and Suleiman Tafida as well as Mrs. Grace David. The committee has been mandated to carry out a thorough review of all complaints, engage all aggrieved parties, and submit actionable recommendations within one week.

Speaking at the event, Alhaji Tijjani Abubakar expressed confidence that the committee would help restore unity and refocus the group on its core objective — supporting Senator Wadada’s 2027 bid for governor.

Stakeholders present commended the initiative and pledged to work collaboratively toward ensuring peace and progress within the organization.

Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, though not present at the meeting, was reportedly briefed on its outcomes and is said to support the peace-building efforts being undertaken.
