In a major political development ahead of the 2027 general elections, former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Nasarawa State, Dr. Yusuf Mohammad Agabi, has declared his full support for Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu’s governorship ambition.

Dr. Agabi made this known during an advocacy visit by “Wadada Connect,” a support group championing Senator Wadada’s cause, at his residence in Lafia on Saturday.

He described Senator Wadada as the most credible among all aspirants, citing his deep-rooted grassroots support and extensive experience in governance. Dr. Agabi who is also the Durbin Lafian Bare-Bari, pledged to support Senator Wadada’s emergence both at the party primaries and in the general election, promising to invest his personal resources and political influence toward the success of the campaign.

Additionally, he expressed his willingness to support the efforts of Wadada Connect to achieve its mobilization goals across Nasarawa State.

The delegation, led by Alhaji Tijjani Abubakar, commended Dr. Agabi for his endorsement and called on supporters of Senator Wadada to remain peaceful, focused, and united in their efforts. He also urged citizens to avoid any form of political violence as the campaign season approaches.

Alhaji Abubakar who is also the Chairman/ CEO of Suraj Oil and Gas, further encouraged continued support for the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule, emphasizing the need for unity and development in the state.

Senator Ahmed Wadada, who currently represents Nasarawa West Senatorial District, has yet to officially announce his candidacy. However, growing endorsements and grassroots mobilization suggest that a formal declaration may be on the horizon.

With Dr. Agabi’s endorsement, Senator Wadada’s campaign is expected to gain further momentum as the 2027 elections draw closer.
