It is a statement of fact that in the Nigeria’s democratic journey, the winds of political change often begin as whispers among the grassroots. Today, in Nasarawa State, and particularly in Lafia local government, those whispers have turned into a thunderous chant: “Wadada for Governor 2027.” The recent resounding endorsement of Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu by the Lafia Local Government Nine Ward Progressive Forum is not just another political declaration, it is a bold and necessary declaration of confidence in true leadership of Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu.
Nine Wards Progressive Forum Led by the Deputy Chairman of Lafia Local Government Council, Hon. Ahmed Uba Arkiya, endorsement carries the weight of genuine grassroots sentiment. This wasn’t a staged political photo-op or a hollow declaration, it was an organic movement of people, communities, and leaders unified by their belief in a man who has consistently shown them respect, delivered results, and stayed connected.
Senator Wadada is not a newcomer to public service or the struggles of the average Nasarawa citizen. His record speaks volumes. As a lawmaker, his tenure has been defined by legislative effectiveness, visionary leadership, and community-focused initiatives. He doesn’t simply make promises, he fulfills them. Whether through empowering youth, supporting education, improving infrastructure, or championing inclusive governance, Wadada’s impact is both visible and lasting.
What sets Senator Wadada apart, and why his 2027 governorship ambition should be embraced with open arms, is his deep-rooted connection to the grassroots. In a political era where many leaders are distant from the people they claim to serve, Wadada has always remained present. He walks among the people, listens to their concerns, and crafts policies that reflect their needs. This is not politics as usual, it is people-centered leadership in its truest form.
The endorsement tour, which spanned Arkiya, Shabu/Kwandare, and Kaffin Wambai wards by Uba Arikya forum was a clear demonstration of this bond. Thousands of loyalists, traditional leaders, youth groups, and women organizations came out not because they were paid to, but because they believe in the vision Wadada represents. These communities are not just endorsing a candidate; they are investing in a future that promises dignity, development, and direction.
Hon. Arkiya’s words capture the essence of this moment: “Senator Wadada has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership. He stands out as the most credible candidate to succeed Governor Abdullahi A. Sule in 2027.” Indeed, Nasarawa needs a successor who will not only maintain stability but drive transformation. With Wadada, that transformation is not only possible, it is imminent.
Critics may argue that endorsements alone do not win elections. True. But when an endorsement is backed by the collective will of the people, when it resonates from ward to ward, village to village, and gains momentum with every passing day, it becomes a movement. And the Wadada Movement is not just gaining steam, it is becoming unstoppable.
As the Forum plans to expand its campaign to every ward in Lafia and eventually across Nasarawa State, the message is clear: this is no longer about one man’s ambition. It is about a people’s aspiration. It is about reclaiming governance for the governed. It is about progress, accountability, and hope.
To those still sitting on the fence, now is the time to join the wave. Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu is not just the best candidate for governor in 2027, he is the right one. Nasarawa deserves nothing less than his experience, his humility, and his unwavering dedication to the people.
Let us move forward, together, under one banner: Wadada for Governor 2027. The future begins now.
