The governing All Progressives Congress, APC, has lauded Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada for rejoining the party.
A statement issued by the party’s Deputy National Secretary, Professor Abdulkarim Kana, on Friday welcomed him to the progressive fold and reassured existing members of level praying ground and fair process.
The party said Senator Wadada’s return is a significant addition to the quality of its membership ranks and file which already is filled with very competent and experienced members with records of dedication to public service.
The party noted that the Lawmaker’s experience and political acumen are valuable assets that will undoubtedly strengthen our party’s capacity and influence.
“We are confident that his presence will contribute positively to our collective efforts in building a more prosperous Nigeria. This is of course if self interests and vested ambitions are not placed above party considerations. We seize this opportunity to remind all returning and existing members of the paramount importance of loyalty and respect for the party’s leadership structure and tenets.
“The APC is built on principles of discipline, unity, and a shared vision for national development. We urge Senator Wadada, and indeed all members, to be ready to uphold these values, respect decisions of the party and work in harmony with the party’s leadership to achieve our common goals; and not to jump boat on the slightest turbulence.
“To all our members, we appeal for a spirit of camaraderie and good faith in receiving Senator Wadada back into our fold. Let us bury our differences and unite for the greater good of the party. The leadership is committed to providing a level playing ground for all candidates, regardless of their zone, to vie for offices and party tickets. We guarantee a transparent and just process in all forthcoming primary elections to produce the best candidates for the APC.
“This is a time for unity and focused preparation. We must all come together to ensure that the APC remains victorious in the crucial elections of 2027 and beyond. Our collective mission is to secure the re-election of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCON, and His Excellency, Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, as well as to achieve victory in all Governorship and other elective offices across the nation,” the statement reads further.
Senator Wadada who represents Nasarawa West District in the Nigerian Senate had recently tendered his resignation from the Social Democratic Party, SDP, citing lingering internal crisis.
