Hon. Ibrahim Hamza, Ex-PDP PRO Commends Governor Sule’s Leadership in Nasarawa

In a significant political shift within Nasarawa State, Hon. Ibrahim Hamza, former Public Relations Officer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). Lauded governor Abdullahi sule for his transformative agenda in Nasarawa state

Hon Hamza whose defection marks a noteworthy moment in the state’s political discourse, especially given his prominence as a seasoned communicator and party strategist.

In an interview with newsmen in Lafia, Hon Hamza who announced his switch at a well-attended gathering in Lafia, attributed his decision to defect to APC to the exceptional leadership and developmental strides recorded under the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule. He praised the governor’s commitment to good governance and inclusive development, describing the ongoing transformation across key sectors as unprecedented.

He Observed that under Governor Sule, Nasarawa State has experienced notable improvements in security,
“Thanks to strengthened collaboration between state authorities and security agencies. The administration’s proactive approach to intelligence gathering, community engagement, and deployment of security resources has led to increased peace and stability across the state” he added.

Hon. Hamza stressed further: “In agriculture, Governor Sule’s policies have improved food security and promoted economic diversification. Through support for mechanized farming, provision of inputs, and empowerment of local farmers, agricultural productivity has seen measurable growth, boosting rural livelihoods and market accessibility.”

Hon. Hamza also acknowledged the governor’s strides in youth empowerment and human capital development. Initiatives ranging from vocational training programs to entrepreneurship support schemes have been instrumental in equipping young people with skills and opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the state’s economy.

“The education sector has equally benefitted from a series of reforms and investments. These include improved infrastructure in schools, capacity building for teachers, and enhanced access to learning materials. The Sule-led administration has also prioritized the welfare of educators and expanded scholarship programs to support students from disadvantaged backgrounds.”

However political observers said: Hamza’s defection is seen as a strategic gain for the APC in Nasarawa State, especially as political alignments begin to shift ahead of upcoming general elections. His entry into the ruling party is expected to bolster grassroots mobilization efforts and further consolidate support for Governor Sule’s administration.

In the main time, the APC in Nasarawa state under the leadership of Dr  Aliyu Bello, welcomed Hon. Hamza into its fold, describing his move as a reflection of the growing confidence in the governor’s performance and alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

As political developments continue to unfold, Hon. Hamza’s move signals a broader realignment in Nasarawa politics, reinforcing the APC’s growing influence and highlighting the impact of focused governance on public perception and political loyalty.
