The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State is set to kick off an important voters education and sensitization campaign as part of its efforts to encourage greater electoral participation across the state. The event, which also doubles as a celebration of the party’s second anniversary in Nasarawa, is scheduled for Tuesday, 2nd September 2025, at 11:00 am at the APC State Secretariat on Shendam Road, Lafia.
The campaign aims to raise awareness about the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise, a critical process designed to boost voter registration and ensure that every eligible citizen is empowered to participate in upcoming elections.
Leading the event will be Dr. Aliyu Bello, PhD, the APC State Chairman, alongside Yairus G. Dagusa, mni. The ceremony will be chaired by Mr. Timothy Anjide, former Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Nasarawa State, who also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation.
Highlighting the importance of the occasion, special guests will include His Excellency Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, who is expected to reinforce the significance of democratic participation and the party’s commitment to good governance.
In a statement, the APC leadership called on party members and the wider public to actively engage in the program, stressing that informed and registered voters are crucial to strengthening the democratic process and ensuring transparent elections in the state.
This dual-purpose event reflects APC’s dedication not only to celebrating its achievements over the past two years in Nasarawa State but also to fostering a more informed electorate ahead of future electoral contests. As the party marks this milestone, it renews its pledge to enhance democratic engagement and deepen political awareness among the people of Nasarawa.
