In a notable display of unity and purposeful engagement, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, today received a delegation of distinguished leaders from the Southern Senatorial Zone of the state. The delegation, operating under the auspices of the “Eminent Persons Assembly,” comprised respected elder statesmen, technocrats, and former public office holders.
The delegation was led by Ambassador Suleiman Umaru Azores, a former Senator and former Secretary to the State Government. The meeting, held at the Government House in Lafia, served as a platform for strategic dialogue, consultation, and expression of support for the ongoing developmental efforts of the current administration.
Governor Sule welcomed the group, acknowledging their collective experience, leadership, and dedication to the progress of Nasarawa State. He recognized the visit as a sign of unity and shared commitment across the state’s three senatorial zones, and noted the importance of continuous dialogue between government and stakeholders to ensure inclusive governance.
The Eminent Persons Assembly commended the Governor’s administration for its developmental strides across various sectors, particularly in infrastructure, security, and economic reforms. They expressed readiness to collaborate with the government in the areas of rural development, youth empowerment, and peacebuilding, especially within the Southern Zone.
