The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Hon. Dr. Aliyu Bello, on Tuesday led a high-powered delegation to the Government House in Lafia on a courtesy visit to Governor Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule.
The delegation included Hon. Ibrahim Hamza, a former Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who recently defected to the APC, and Prince Agwai, another notable political figure in the state.
During the visit, both Hon. Hamza and Prince Agwai expressed their unwavering commitment to Governor Sule’s administration and the progressive ideals of the APC. They pledged their full support towards the success of the government and the overall development of Nasarawa State.
“We are here to affirm our loyalty and readiness to contribute meaningfully to the progress of the APC and to support Governor Sule’s vision for the state,” Hon. Hamza said.
The visit is seen as a significant boost to the APC’s growing influence in the state, signaling increased unity and consolidation of political strength within its ranks. Observers note that the defections and the public show of support reflect confidence in the governor’s leadership and the party’s direction ahead of future political engagements.
APC Chairman, Hon. Dr. Aliyu Bello, described the visit as a testament to the party’s open-door policy and commitment to inclusive governance. He praised the governor for fostering an environment that encourages political collaboration and unity.
Governor Sule, in his remarks, welcomed the delegation and commended their decision to align with the APC, describing it as a step in the right direction. He emphasized the importance of collective efforts in driving the state’s development agenda.
The visit marks yet another milestone in the APC’s bid to maintain its stronghold in Nasarawa State while attracting key political figures from the opposition.
