
Senator Ahmed Wadada Aliyu, representing Nasarawa West, has expressed profound sorrow and grief over the passing of Senator Solomon Ewuga, describing his death as “a monumental loss to Nasarawa State’s political family and the Nigerian nation.”
In a heartfelt condolence message, Senator Wadada hailed Ewuga as a statesman of rare courage, integrity, and vision whose life was dedicated to selfless service. From his early leadership roles as Deputy Governor of Nasarawa State, to his tenure as Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory, and later as Senator representing Nasarawa North, Ewuga was a fearless advocate who never hesitated to speak truth to power.
“Senator Solomon Ewuga was more than a politician. He was a unifying father figure whose legacy transcends political party affiliations,” Senator Wadada remarked. “His patriotism, courage, and passion for the upliftment of our people will forever remain in our hearts.”
Senator Wadada emphasized that Ewuga’s contributions to the political development of Nasarawa State are foundational. “He laid the groundwork upon which successive leaders have built, shaping the political architecture of our state in its formative years,” he said.
Remembering Ewuga’s role as a mentor and statesman, Senator Wadada called on Nigerians and political leaders to honor his memory by recommitting to the ideals he championed, ideals of selfless service, people-centered politics, and unity in diversity.
“A titan has fallen, but his light will never go out,” the Senator added.
